South Surfacing

Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can change your choice at any time. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies are used for things like remembering a preference, keeping a site secure, or counting visits.

Our approach

South Surfacing Ltd sets no non essential cookies until you have chosen to allow them. When you first arrive you are given three clear options: accept all, reject all, or manage your preferences by category. Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting. Until you choose, only strictly necessary cookies are used.

The fonts used on this site are hosted on our own server rather than loaded from a third party, so no outside company is contacted before you have given consent.

Strictly necessary cookies, always on

These are needed for the website and its security to work, and to remember your cookie choice. They do not track you and cannot be switched off.

Cookie Purpose Expires
ssur_consent Records whether you accepted or rejected each cookie category, and when you chose, so we do not ask again and so we have a record of your choice. 180 days
WordPress session and security cookies Set only if you log in to the website as an administrator. They keep the login secure. Session, or up to 14 days

Analytics cookies, only if you allow them

With your permission we may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These are not set unless you choose to allow the analytics category. If you reject, they are not set at all.

Marketing cookies, only if you allow them

With your permission we may use marketing cookies so that adverts you see elsewhere are more relevant. These are not set unless you choose to allow the marketing category. If you reject, they are not set at all.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

You can change your mind at any time. Select Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the choices, or clear cookies in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
