Tarmac Driveways across South London and Kent
Tarmac remains the most practical driveway surface for most homes in South London. It goes down quickly, it copes with daily vehicle traffic, and when the base underneath it is built properly it stays flat and crack free for years.
We handle the entire installation ourselves, from excavating and removing the old surface through to laying the sub base, edging the drive and rolling the final wearing course. There is no sub contracting the difficult parts and no cheap materials brought in to protect a low price.
What is included
- Full excavation and removal of the old surface
- Compacted MOT Type 1 sub base laid to the correct depth
- Base course and wearing course laid hot and rolled
- Concrete or block paved edging so the tarmac cannot spread
- Falls set so surface water runs away from the house
- Site left clean and tidy at the end of every day

How long does a tarmac driveway take?
Most domestic driveways are finished in one to three days depending on size, access and how much old material has to come out. We give you a realistic timescale with the quote rather than a best case one.
Can you tarmac over my existing driveway?
Sometimes. If the existing base is sound an overlay can work well and costs less. If the base has failed, an overlay will simply crack in the same places, so we will tell you honestly which of the two your drive needs.
When can I park on it?
Foot traffic is usually fine within a few hours. We normally ask you to keep vehicles off for around 48 hours so the surface can harden fully.
