The information we collect
When you fill in an enquiry form on this website we collect the details you choose to give us. That can include your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you are interested in and the message you write. Your name, phone number and, on the full contact form, a message are required in order to send the form. Email address and postcode are optional.
The website also records which page the enquiry was sent from, the date and time it was sent, and the IP address of the device that sent it. The IP address is kept only to help us identify and prevent spam and abusive submissions.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use the information you give us to reply to your enquiry and provide a quote, to arrange and carry out any work you ask us to do, to keep a record of enquiries so we can follow them up and run our business properly, and to protect the website against spam and misuse.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and, where you are asking us to quote or carry out work, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where we rely on consent, for example for non essential cookies, you are free to withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for anyone else to market to you. To run the website and follow up enquiries we use a small number of trusted providers who process information on our behalf: our website host, so enquiries can be stored, and our email provider, so notifications reach us.
Where we use a customer management system to handle enquiries, your details are passed to it so we can manage and respond to your enquiry.
These providers only process your information in order to provide their service to us and are required to keep it secure. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months after your enquiry, and longer only where we have a legal or accounting reason to do so.
Cookies
This website sets no non essential cookies until you have chosen to allow them. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy, including the name and purpose of every cookie and how to change your choice at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete, to ask us to delete your information, to ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask us to transfer your information where that right applies, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
