Block Paving across South London and Kent
Block paving still gives the strongest first impression of any driveway surface, and it has a practical advantage too. If a service trench is ever needed, the blocks lift and go back down rather than leaving a patch.
The quality of a block drive is decided under the surface. We build the sub base to the right depth, screed a consistent sand bed, cut the edges cleanly rather than filling gaps with slivers, and finish with kiln dried sand brushed and vibrated into the joints.

Block Paving, answered
What is the difference between block paving and paving slabs?
Blocks are small units laid on a sand bed and locked together by their pattern and edge restraints, which suits vehicle traffic. Slabs are larger and usually better suited to patios and paths.
Do block paved drives sink?
Only when the base is too shallow or the edges are not restrained. Both are preparation failures rather than a fault of the material, which is why we do not shortcut either.
Can you match my existing paving?
Often, yes. Bring us a spare block or send a photograph and we will tell you honestly whether a close match is available.
